Unfortunately, yes.

iMAME was released through the Apple App store a few years ago... right before Apple froze the store for a week during the Christmas holidays. It's a full blown working MAME emulator that supports the iCade. Unfortunately... Apple pulled it and now it's gone. So I can run it on a legit iOS...but most would have to jailbreak to get it to work today.

How do you get TEH ROMZ into the iMAME emulator? Transferring things to and from an iDevice is kind of a pain.

How do you get TEH ROMZ into the iMAME emulator? Transferring things to and from an iDevice is kind of a pain.

There is an application called iExplorer that allows you to see the entire file structure when your iPad/iPhone is connected to a computer. Drag & drop from there.
