The type of people in that FaceBook group strike me as the type of folks who are still amused by the Power Glove.

Maybe they're just new to retro gaming. Although, I've been apart of the community for a little over 6 months and know better.aaron wrote:it's just irritating. all of the dudes in this group are like 30+ and should know better. you can think i'm an asshole, i don't care.

There sure seems to be an awful lot of Game Genie pictures there.BoneSnapDeez wrote:The type of people in that FaceBook group strike me as the type of folks who are still amused by the Power Glove.

I have nothing against the guy, it's just that the page is so lackluster and devoid of interesting material. Screenshots of VGPC don't make for engaging FaceBook posts.BurningDoom wrote:I don't get the big deal. Why are you all making fun of these guys? Because they look up the value of their games? Oh shit, what dorks.
I don't like FaceBonk much, either. Most of the time I only look at the status updates for the bands I follow.Ziggy587 wrote:I just flat out don't like Facebook.

It seems more like they're into it to make money, not necessarily for actually playing the games.BurningDoom wrote:I don't get the big deal. Why are you all making fun of these guys? Because they look up the value of their games? Oh shit, what dorks.

You're preaching to the choir here, Ziggy. I don't even have a facebook account, and I feel happier without it.Ziggy587 wrote:I just flat out don't like Facebook.samsonlonghair wrote:I'm sure no one really hates this facebook group.
I just wanted to let BurningDoom know that it's all fun and games. No hating here.

And there can't be both? I definetly play all my games, doesn't mean I don't get curious. Same applies to my comics. I own a Paperback Edition Price Guide from VGPC.com and a few different editions of The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide. It's part of the collecting hobby.ApolloBoy wrote:It seems more like they're into it to make money, not necessarily for actually playing the games.BurningDoom wrote:I don't get the big deal. Nothing wrong with that, allows you to know the value of a game so you don't get ripped off by a price gouger.aaron wrote:"I have a app on my phone that tells me the collectors value of nes games so if anyone wants to know the value or the rarity of a game let me know and ill post it for you"
