Ha, thanks! Dude, if only you knew how few and far between stuff like this is. I strike out maybe 10 times for every 1 time I find anything decent and something truly amazing is maybe once or twice a year. I just happen to stop in frequently and increase my odds. It's honestly just luck and frequency. With the stuff I found yesterday, so many things had to align for me to pick up those games. Pure luck on that one.Wispmage wrote:I swear to god, you guys make up some of these finds up haha. Every time I visit a store that carries old games it's just 30 copies of Madden 98'. Congrats on the awesome haul!J_Wil wrote:Scored all this for $28.82 at a thrift store.

I picked this stuff up from the pawn, spent about $120. I'll have to sell a couple to offset my cost, but I kept like 6-8 titles for myself and i'll be keeping a few for my nephew. most notable titles are dragon warrior 2 & 3, contra, Zelda, link, kirby, castlevania series, river city ransom.

Picked up a copy of the original Final Fantasy for the NES. I overpaid but it was there and in good condition.
My girlfriend scored a copy of Dragon Warrior I&II for the Game Boy Color.

Newegg
My brother needed another set of security camera so I bought some for him to pay me back, then the next day they were $15 cheaper so I emailed them and they gave me a gift card (but I have no plans to tell my brother that
)
So I got Sonic Lost World for Wii U for $25.49
$44.99 (game) - 10% coupon code - $15 gift card.

Found these at a local second-hand goods store today for a total of $5. Never played either, but always wanted to give the earlier Fallout games a try. Can anyone attest to Quake 2? I've never played a Quake game before, but I know they're supposed to be pretty solid.

If you happen to like Quake I highly recommend the Qauke Collection over at steam it usually runs $5-10 during the sales.Wispmage wrote:Found these at a local second-hand goods store today for a total of $5. Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Quake games are solid, though they're not all directly related. First one is (so far) kind of a one-off outside of the expansions. Quake III/Quake Live is a spinoff similar to Unreal Tournament, in that the focus is entirely on multiplayer style arena combat. Quake II has a plot to it, which is continued in 4, and sorta given a prequel in Enemy Territory: Quake Wars.Wispmage wrote:Found these at a local second-hand goods store today for a total of $5. Either way, it's a good game for the time, but it's also from a time when FPS games were improving/changing a lot year-to-year, and Half-Life would set the bar not long after.
Anyway, if I recall, the installer for Quake II may take a long time to pop up on modern systems (or something), but you can get around it by manually copying the install data over.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
So, my wife bought a Wii for cheap today. A lady local offered a Wii with everything except a game for $20. I told her to ask if it was BC and the seller said they thought their kids had played GameCube games on it before.
So, I got excited because I don't own a GC and would love to play some of the games. Also, seeing how the Component Cables for a GC are more than a BC Wii, I thought it would be better to go with a BC Wii.
WEEEELL, it turned out the Wii wasn't backward compatible. However, it did come with a Wiimote with Motion plus built in and since I only have one Wiimote for my Wii U, I still came out ahead.
Nothing really useful here, just thought I would share.
