m3/R4 ds kernel

I've been looking around for a definitive new kernel for the m3 and r4 ds carts and can't seem to find one that seems legit.

at least i'm assuming the ones i have arn't legit becuase i cant get that shit to work. I've played around with a few tricks making small changes here and there. I got to the load screen once, but then black. Do i have a bum 4 carts?

I've actually managed to do this twice now, once for me and once for a buddy of mine. I am trying to do it for my roommate for Christmas because she always steals mine for months on end. I have 2 r4s and 2 m3s both of which i couldn't get running.

if you guys have any links to legit kernels or know that the fail rate is super high on these guys let me know.
