Saturn Fighter's List.

Post by Ack »

So sometimes I get bored. I've slowly been trying to compile lists of fighting games based on what console they appear on. Here's what I've got for a list of Saturn fighters, and I want you guys to look it over and tell me if I've missed something, or if one or two aren't fighting games(or even if I've got something on there twice under different names). The Internet in general sucks about naming genres, so a few of these were labeled Action or Beat 'Em Ups.

Just let me know. Thanks. And for the record, I believe the list is 78 titles long.

Yeah, I swept multiple lists of Saturn games I found online. I realized I was going to have to when the Wikipedia list didn't include Astra Super Stars.

I may have missed a few, though. Any idea on whether Crow: City of Angels was a fighter or a beat 'em up? Also, it's possible some of these had other names due to region differences. The Darkstalkers series gave me a little trouble, as did the many Street Fighters.

You know I have noticed some websites and reviews calling fighters beat'em ups. I'm glad I'm not alone in finding that odd

I believe Crow is a beatemup

Ok, on the phone with Fastbilly. Guardian Heroes is a beat 'em up(I'd only played the multiplayer).

I personally think the game mechanics of Virtual On: Cyber Troopers qualifies it as a fighting game.

And the unfortunate people who lump beat-em-ups with fighting games are the same souls who combine run-n-guns with shoot-em-ups! :?

Ok, I looked it up, and I agree with you. Having checked out some gameplay videos on Youtube, I'd say it reminds me of Custom Robo a lot, which I also consider a fighting game in many respects. Virtual On is going on the list.
