Gift Plans for Family and Friends
Just curious, what game-related gifts do you have planned for some friends and family?
I was able to snag a boxed TurboGrafx for my buddy. I might not have enough left over to grab any games (I'm eying Keith Courage, Ninja Spirit, and Blazing Lazers).
Edit
Changed the title to be more inclusive.

Re: Video Game Gift Plans for Family and Friends
Friend of mine has a birthday this weekend, and I'll be giving him a nice looking copy of Bubsy 3D in a "CE" package of sorts I made for it which doubles as a card. Also copies of Barbie Horse Adventures Riding Camp and Petz Horsez (because of this).
I have not-gag gifts for him too, but oddly, no video games in that pile.
Far as Christmas goes, I'm not sure yet.

You must really like your friends.Cronozilla wrote: I was able to snag a boxed TurboGrafx for my buddy.
I'm not giving out any video game gifts. Not asking for any either. Last time I did people either complained or got me used GameStop games.
I will be asking for gift cards though.

That's too bad...I came across a bin of $1 5200 games when I was in South Carolina this weekend. I would have picked some up for you...but I didn't know which ones you needed.BoneSnapDeez wrote:I'm not giving out any video game gifts. Not asking for any either.

Only gamer in the family and no friends so I'm safe. I do have to worry about getting my BF a good christmas gift and a birthday gift, since his birthday is in a few days...what do you get a man who pretty much has all the games he wants right now!?
I don't want to just get him something...but at the same time I don't want to not give him something. Maybe if a good game would drop in time for christmas...as for his birthday...fuck idk.

Go to Etsy and get him some fun video game-related apparel or decor. My wife purchased some very nice Mega Man cuff links for me for my birthday, and I adore them.GirlGamer55 wrote:Only gamer in the family and no friends so I'm safe. Re: Video Game Gift Plans for Family and Friends
Since we draw names for Christmas I might get my oldest brother a used NES. Last year for my wedding my groomsmen gift was a copy of Zelda 1 that I did a title hack on. It changed the backstory to be about my wife and I and the wedding party was the items. Out of my three brothers, he is the only one who does not have an NES currently. So it will either be a toaster NES or a modern replica - like the Retron or Retrousb NES.

Good idea, if we lived close to one another. He lives in Canada and i'm in the US. And we don't see eachother at all...so my gifts are limited to video games via Steam lol...I think I have an idea...Nether just came out and he got me a copy to test out to see if it's any good...if it's good, it's a game I can get him and we can play together...which is a win win in my book. Sadly the Nether is giving me issues which I all ready contacted their support about but still haven't heard back from them...gah!prfsnl_gmr wrote:Go to Etsy and get him some fun video game-related apparel or decor. It arrived.
The seller was having some personal problems, apparently, so it took awhile.

Re: Gift Plans for Family and Friends
I'm giving an all in one record vintage player I grabbed and fixed to my 90 year old aunt who I found out has records but no player. I have a gift for one friend on the way that was easy to take care of. Otherwise I have no idea.
