Hammerwatch and Legend of Dungeon here. Hammerwatch is bloody hard sometimes.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this but...
Does anyone know of any other decent twin-stick shooters on Steam? I love games like these (and like Super Stardust on PSN) but I can't seem to find any other than Geometry Wars Retro Evolved and Waves

Did you try Beat Hazard? It uses the music on your HDD to create levels.s1rweeze wrote:Not sure if this is the right place to ask this but...

I'm a solid 23 hours into Assassin's Creed IV now. Only 54% complete with the main story. Some of that was probably idling. Been known to alt-tab on occasion. I spent a lot of that time just doing naval battles and upgrading my ship. Edward is still using the weapons I got near the beginning of the game.
But I'm starting to rake in a ton of cash with my fleet so I'll probably have the highest weapons I can buy in a couple days.
First AC game I've played, and now I'm excited for whatever comes next. I have got to say, I don't know how the other games are, but I am enjoying this one quite a lot.

This is kind of interesting...

The PC Gaming Alliance, a non-profit organization working to improve the state of PC gaming, plans to officially launch its certification program in March 2014
a certified game will have to support a 720p resolution, using medium settings, at 30 frames per second, under “fully loaded conditions.” A genre appropriate, certified game will also have to support gamepads and the ability to connect to a big screen television.
...this also reminds me a bit of the Games For Windows branding that we saw. Didn't that start out sort of the same way? Where all games with that GFW box had the same specs, etc, so that it gave PC gamers something of a "console experience" taking the guesswork out of compatibility?A game showing the PCGA logo will supposedly reassure consumers that what they’re buying will work as advertised. All console manufacturers have a similar, internal certification program, making sure that every game on the platform meets certain standards. In fact, the famous Nintendo Seal of Quality was born out of the great game crash of the early ‘80s, caused in part by a market saturated with technically shoddy games. If you saw Nintendo’s seal, you knew it was going to be good, or at least work properly.

Sounds great, but the cost to get certed means most indie titles will not have it done. So it will still be the wild west.

Sonic All Stars Racing Transformed is free on Steam this weekend and 75% off. Great game for those who haven't played it. Even better on PC thanks to framerate.

Thanks for the headsup Ryan. I am going to download it tonight. I enjoy it on the Wiiu, but I think it will be better on the pc.

The PC version is certainly great. Unfortunately, it's online mode is just as dead as the WiiU version's, so I'm hoping to get a few games in this weekend since it should be more populated than usual.
