Got a Wii U. Got Super Mario 3D World. Its adorable. Nuff said.
But really its a great games. Always a fan of the 3D Mario games. Can always count on the tight controls and fun gameplay.

Alisia Dragoon.
Who would have thought that a game where your default weapon is a homing laser would be so damn hard.

Half the time it's Castlevania SoTN, and the other half is Shinobi 3. After which, i think i'll have to stop playing anything for a while, because surely nothing will seem as good.

Donkey Kong Country Returns
Because I never bothered playing it when it came out. It's pretty fantastic so far ... but I really wish the shaking could be put on the A button or something.

That's the reason to get it on 3DS.Cronozilla wrote:Donkey Kong Country Returns

I could have sworn there was a way to do it without shaking on the Wii version. There was some kind of control optionCronozilla wrote:Donkey Kong Country Returns

I think it's some sort of third-party hack, not something you can do with the game alone.
The ass controls kill the whole thing for me.

The above a million zillion times... the main reason I died is having him roll when I didn't want to or vice versa.
Also the 3DS version: no 60fps
The stages with the jet pack are also infuriating thanks to the controls.
DKC2 with Diddy and Dixie however controls like a dream. <3
I hope Tropical Freeze turns out good (with no shaking controls), plus DAVE WISE is coming back for the music! The original music in DKC Returns was flat out boring to be honest (besides the remakes).
edit: seems relevant to the controls topic

Re: What platformer are you playing now?
The shaking isn't too bad, I'd just rather it be a button press. It's used to do stuff that's time sensitive with a really inaccurate action.
That's a pretty good argument for the 3DS version, though. It also happens to be very fun.
Looks like you can do this http://www.the-magicbox.com/forums/show ... hp?t=28004 to assign it to the B button.
