Re: Sega Stocks
Here's their investor relations site where you can find out how they're doing.
It might be fun to buy a little stock and be able to vote in corporate decisions and get reports mailed to you and stuff like that. You'll need to go through a broker; the easiest would probably be an online one like ETrade, ScottTrade, or TDAmeritrade. (I have no experience with any of them and can't vouch for quality.)
Just be aware that buying stock in a single company based on something emotional, like "I love their video games", is not a sound investment strategy. Just think of it as you spending money to go on a ride!
Before you do that, I recommend you start learning how to invest for retirement. It might not be as much fun, but it's a smarter use of your money.

I don't think he's looking to buy a lot of stock in the company just one share or something.Nemoide wrote:

Re: Sega Stocks
If we pooled our funds and bought a large enough bloc of voting shares we could literally force Sega to make Shenmue III...
Charity Auction 2014, perhaps???
EDIT: By my estimate, it will cost us about $700 million to buy a 10% interest in the corporation; so, we are really going to need some members to step up with some big donations to the non-profit Racketboy Members Buy Sega And Force It To Make Shenmue III Fund.
