you're killing me JT. Those pics are awesome.

I played the LOS demo a while back and really, really enjoyed it. I haven't picked it up yet because I'm really torn. I'd prefer playing the PC version - and your pics kind of illustrate why. Yet I'd also really like to have the 360 LE on my shelf for the packaging and soundtrack.

I've never understood the trend of capturing the cut-scene footage from the engine in very low quality. Almost as bad as ridiculously low resolution video used in cut-scenes.

My assumption, and it could be wrong, is that it's done to mask or minimize load time. Why unpack all those resources when it's a non-interactive sequence? Just preload the next gameplay segment while the video plays.

Works fine when the prerendered portion is similar enough to the real-time that the transition is seamless (as I recall it being on the PS3).
