I can't really get into Anthrax myself. I like a few songs off Among the Living and that's about it.
The Death remasters have been surprisingly solid, dunno if you guys have listened to those at all. I still prefer the original recordings because I am so used to them, but I've listened to most of the remastered albums and have been fine with them. SoP in particular has a nice boost on the drums and bass that I think was needed.

I much prefer Among the Living for Anthrax to albums like Persistence of Time, but I appreciate the goofiness of it. Songs about horror movies, Stephen King works, and comic book characters make me smile.brunoafh wrote:I can't really get into Anthrax myself. I have the remastered version of Death's Human album, and I enjoy it, particularly the addition of all the bonus content. Sadly it's also the only way we'll apparently ever get it since Sony apparently lost the original tape.

The Human remix/remaster is pretty good, actually. The bass was way too quiet in the original (Steve Digiorgio was very unhappy with that mix actually), you can actually hear it now.

yeah the death remasters are great. my favorite is still Leprosy, but that's just me.

Re: Metal Heads Assemble!!
Anthrax made songs about horror movies and Stephen King? Maybe I should check them out more. I always liked the bits of Anthrax stuff that made its way to me ("Bring The Noise," naturally...) and I think I generally like thrash stuff.
