For some reason I felt possessed to play Sonic Adventure 2, so that's what I'm doing right now. It's honestly still a pretty fun game despite all its problems, especially in the Sonic/Shadow levels. I still hate those Knuckles/Rouge stages though.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I buy a lot of used games, but I will pass on any PS1/PS2/PS3 game that does not come complete with its case and manual. I purchased a new copy of Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time the other day, however, and when I opened the game, I discovered that it did not have a manual!
(According to my research, The Ratchet & Clank HD Collection also shipped without a manual.)
To make sure that I do not pass on any good deals because they are missing a non-existent manual, it would be helpful to have a list of games that did not ship with a manual. Accordingly, does anyone know where I can find a list of PS3 games that shipped without a manual? (My searches have not yet revealed anything...)

Screwing around with those chaos is the least fun ever in a Sonic game. Kind of ruined the game for me. And yes, I know you don't have to raise your chao, but I feel like I should at least try.AppleQueso wrote:For some reason I felt possessed to play Sonic Adventure 2, so that's what I'm doing right now. It takes forever. Totally ruins the momentum of the game.AppleQueso wrote:I actually really liked the chao raising back in the day.

Always kinda thought of it as a separate game entirely to be honest. Just a side-thing, like the Kart racing thing you can unlock.Luke wrote:It takes forever. Totally ruins the momentum of the game.AppleQueso wrote:I actually really liked the chao raising back in the day.

Capcom Digital Collection for 360 does not come with a manual. It does however come with a pamphlet of legalese that advertises the Capcom website.prfsnl_gmr wrote: To make sure that I do not pass on any good deals because they are missing a non-existent manual, it would be helpful to have a list of games that did not ship with a manual.

The Midway Arcade Origins "manual" is just warranty/license agreement stuff. I have it on Xbox 360, but I would assume it's the same for PS3. Though it looks like a manual (has the game art on the front) so I assume you would want that.prfsnl_gmr wrote: To make sure that I do not pass on any good deals because they are missing a non-existent manual, it would be helpful to have a list of games that did not ship with a manual. My copy of Tales of Xillia has no manual. There's simply a DLC voucher where the manual would be. The warranty/license agreement is printed on the back of the cover art and can be read (theoretically at least) through the clear PS3 case. Guess I should mention I have the Limited Edition, I don't know if any other versions do have a manual.

Almost no Vita games seem to have a printed manual, though they have an electronic one. I've seen the reference card style printing on the inside of the cover art though (Gravity Rush comes to mind), despite that the cases are opaque...

This goes against my anti-digital moral values but I actually like that they're virtual. Whenever I need help I just press the PS button and it's right there. No having to get up or nothing.isiolia wrote:Almost no Vita games seem to have a printed manual, though they have an electronic one. I've been addicted to Batman: Arkham City ever since I got it. I picked it up on a whim on BF. I've never liked superhero games but this game is both beautiful and fun to play. I'll be picking up Asylum and Origins soon enough.
