Longish-post incoming; I've been playing a lot of Fire Emblem lately and I think some of the strategies involved made their way into a dream I had last night... basically I was watching someone play a real-time RPG with stealth-like strategies, so along with wanting to express these ideas, since I have zero desire at making a game I'm REALLY hoping there's something like this out there that has all this.
Basically, it was a fantasy setting where you can play as a lower class (hardest; least amount of funds/starting out with their poor slums equipment), medium class, or upper class party (start out with fancy expensive hi-tech equipment, lots of money etc.) and try to take over the others' territories/villages and all that and change them to your own, taking over their equipment, buildings and such in the process; though it's all in the perspective/intimacy of the party members, not an-overseeing "god" like an RTS. There's also a crapton of party members to be stationed anywhere in the game world to oversee things as you leave the area.
The stealth part of this is I was watching someone "play" this in a ice cavern-ish area and the stealth elements involved were basically hiding from the enemy's sight, baiting them with a sound/distracting them with a party member -> the enemy puts up their defense that is specific to that party member -> the other members come up from behind where the enemy's weak-spot is exposed and wipes them out, experience gained, etc.
Sounds long/detailed but in the dream all this was sort of in an instant somehow... so kind of like a RTS meets RPG with stealth elements. Anything?
Any RPGs out there like this? (w/ stealth elements?)

Frozen Synapse is a hybrid RTS/Turn based strategy game with some stealthy elements to it. It doesn't have the town capturing stuff, and it's not in a fantasy setting, but you might want to look into it.
The only other things I can think of a stealth missions in regular strategy games, such as the one where you sneak into a jail to bust people out in Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance.

Could perhaps be similar to realm/world PvP in some MMOs, like Dark Age of Camelot or Guild Wars 2 (WvW for GW2 basic explanation here). Not sure of something single player.
Stealth elements, or chosen race/clan/skills changing available options are not that uncommon, but the resource control aspects I'd say are. Some Bioware games kinda-sorts incorporate it (NWN2, DAO, and Mass Effect), but more as a "do more stuff to claim more resources" than a back and forth.
Warcraft III does use the RTS viewpoint, but the hero characters give it more of an RPG feel.
