I was all set to buy NO MORE GAMES this year. Then online sales tempted me into getting Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers for 3DS, Shin Megami Tensei: Persona and Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth for PSP.

My constant dilemma is "hey I have $100 to spend... should I buy one expensive game or 20 cheap ones?"

I almost always go for the cheaper ones.

I have decided that the 3DS will be my next gen system too! Time to start saving also.

3DS and Vita games start at $40. Tons of PC games are discounted all the time. I have trouble forcing myself to spend $60 on a new release these days which is why I don't think I can ever really get back into console gaming. I play too many games. I wouldn't be able to fund my habit.

Also, the 3DS is pretty much the best system out right now in my opinion. So many good games it's ridiculous.

I have also been thinking of the added DS games I can play too. I spent some time with NSMB with my nephew while taking turns with SMB on the NES today and had a blast.

This is no dilemma for me. I always go for the cheap ones.

I am sorry, this might sound stupid , but Steam sale is on and I want to buy Left4Dead and I am hit with modern videogames era. Should I get Left4Dead or Left4Dead 2 ?

I thought this was a good example where 2 was a much better version of 1 , like Borderlands but after a quick search on the internet it seems that the original is favoured . Any one can help?

I am facing same issue with Fallout vs New Vegas , but that is until I get a ps3...

I, this case, I say 3 and NV are both worth getting. There are play mechanics that are more refined in NV, but at the same time there were things about 3 about the environment and story that I preferred. Both are worthwhile. Go for the GOTY versions that have all the expansions and things in them.

My goal this year was to buy less, but buy some of the £20-40 games that I've never got around to before because I always by more cheap games instead. That way I can get games I've wanted for ages, before they get any more expensive.

I totally failed in that goal.

Either is a great choice. I prefer 2 slightly overall, simply because there is more on offer in terms of enemy and weapon variety. They play pretty much identically though.
