Same exact thing happened to me. Anything dog related like this kicks me in the emotional guts.
But honestly that guy should not have been putting his dog on a plane, stupid move. Airlines don't give a shit about their actual customers, they care even less about a dog and probably just view it as "luggage", as disgusting as that is. Just like the article states, dogs getting killed by stuff like this happens all the time. Only an irresponsible owner would put their animal at the whim of a bunch of assholes that don't care.
Hate to feel like I'm being callous towards someone that just lost their best friend, but that's just really stupid and shows disregard imo. Hopefully he'll never do it again.
