Can somebody provide a picture of an open universal case? I just cant comprehend how a case can house every type of cartridge or CD

dont have any, but if you ever rented games in the 90s, i remember the cases having different clips on two sides for holding both SNES and Genny carts, so i can only imagine the universal cases look something like that.

yeah they are, thats where i get most of mine, the artist "lumberjack" is the best for dreamcast games, and if you can't find certain ones on there then i would be more than happy to make em for ya and then email them to ya , just let me know
right on thanks! i was also wondering, wich kind of paper would be best for printing the covers!? of course default printer paper isnt going to work, but i would guess glossy paper would work right?
i loaded all my covers on my thumb drive , took it to office depot and had them print color copies there, the quality is actually really good. Color copies are only 49cents per copy, glossy would cost to much in the long run

that sounds like the right idea. last night i did a test job just using normal 8.5 x 11 printer paper and printed out a Toy Commander cover, to my suprise my printer is pretty good and it came out decent, but i ran out of Color ink at the end, so the right side has the printer lines where they get lighter then lighter, but if i have more color ink and maybe a thicker stock of paper these would come out really good! so next time i head to the store, ill pick up a ink cart and some better paper and ill post the results.

I ended up going with having a printer at my apartment, since I am generally not limited by my finances, but I am limited by convenience (i.e. I'm a lazy bastard). For paper I've been using 50 lb white matte that I got from Red River Paper, at the recommendation of someone on The Cover Project. You'll definately need legal paper to fit any DS, DVD, or Universal Case covers.

As for a picture of what the case looks like, you can see them here:

You can see the N64 game in the case. In that same spot a Genny or SMS game would fit. The clip is also designed to hold the EA Genny games (which are taller but narrower). An SNES game would fit in vertically. All of these are good fits. A CD basically fits into hte middle, and there is a little notch that keeps it from flopping around (hard to describe, but it'll make sense when you see it. An Odyssey 2 game fits in well, but it's a little looser. Same with a Jaguar game. To get an NES game in, you basically end up removing the four corner posts that fit all the game types, and the NES cart is big enough that it stays put with the last couple of holders that keep in the CD or SNES game.

Seems like an interesting idea. I might try using some of the work from that coverproject site for the few Ps1 games I now have and possibly my DC games.

Anybody know of dvd art for "Thrasher: Skate and Destroy"? They seem to only have the cd scans for this game on thecoverproject.

someone could make the DVD art for Thrasher with that scan, it just matters on who wants to make the effort

kingdomheights, thats a great idea. And now that I think about it, through work I get a discount on printing there. I am surprised I didnt think about that before.... Looks like a session of "perfect" burns is in store for me in the future.
