Happy Thanksgiving everyone. games are you playing today

Post by mas »

Just wanted to say Happy Thanksgiving to all the members and families here on Racketboy. Just wanted to know which games are you playing today. For Me I'm going to play raiden fighter aces and gears of war.
I do want to know if there is a site where I can find a list for all the disc based shmups for the 360.

I was just reading this blast from the past thread about Black Friday where Luke called me "off my rocker" and I suggested he lacked morality. Or something.

I am thankful that I got a chance to meet Luke, John, and ZenErik in person for the first time this year. :D

That was fun to revisit (except for the Tradition picture I posted. One more reminder my teams sucks).

And to think, three years later we can now argue about Thanksgiving Day Doorbusters. What is it, stores open at 8pm and don't close until Friday at 11pm? Craziness.

I understand that some sales are in-store only, but Cyber Monday should be a well known thing by now.

Ugh. My wife just alerted "We need to be ais by 10am". I asked why so early and she said that she wanted to have time with just her parents. THAT'S WHY WE ARE STAYING UNTIL SATURDAY!!!

I'll let her have this one and consider this an ace up my sleeve.

Might as well:

Thankful that last year's charity was a success and that so many members participated.

Thankful to meet Dave and that he's handling the auction this year.

Thankful that Kanye West released a new album so Noise and I have something to talk about.

Thankful that all the Racketbabies were born healthy this year.

Thankful for all the members who argue like adults and don't take any differences in opinion personally (especially JMustang, Opa Opa, Mr.Popo).

Thankful that our younger members are usually wiser beyond their years.

Thankful that one of these days Jordan and I will shake hands.

Thankful for Exed Ex's games beaten list. Retrogame on my friend.

I have new respect for PC Richards...
http://www.twice.com/blogs/black-friday ... ard-101848

With all the talk about Thanksgiving store openings to get a jump on Black Friday, one major electronics/appliance chain has, as expected, not changed its strategy: P.C. Richard & Son.

Black Friday for P.C. Richard & Son will be … Black Friday.

It will remain closed on Thanksgiving and open on Friday, according to its now-annual full-page ads in the New York Daily News and Newsday in this morning’s papers and on its website.

In part the ad reads, as it has in past years, “Retailers who choose to open on Thanksgiving Day show no respect to their employees and families, and are in total disrespect of family values in the United States of America.”

Sales results will show whether or not those retailers that opened on Thanksgiving actually got a competitive advantage over a retailer like P.C. Richard.

Something to add, to this day I still smirk when I hear the word "Thanksgiving" by someone with a Southern accent. There is only one G and one I, and sounds like two separate words when pronounced.

"Thanks-givun".

edit*The Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade is pretty terrible this year.

We'll be out visiting family today, but maybe tonight if I get a chance to play anything it would be a good time to play a football game. Anybody recommend one I can play on PC? Probably we'll just be exhausted and conk out watching Planes, Trains & Automobiles though.

Thankful for this whole community. I've made a lot of good friends here. I wish you all (and your families) a great day!

Madden 08 is great. A cheap logitech duo controller works perfectly with the game too. 2002 and 2006 are also pretty good, but skip 2003 and 2004.

I envy your movie watching. That sounds right about perfect.
