I think Jeremy Parish once famously quipped that Brandish's world-spinning controls made it gaming's first solipsism simulator.BoneSnapDeez wrote:The Brandish series rules. Too bad the controls are so insanely weird.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Attempting to install Assassin's Creed 2 on my PC has caused me to rediscover how much I hate Uplay, and Ubisoft's PC porting quality in general. First the install crashes twice because it couldn't read my brand-new disc (cleaning the non-existent dirt off somehow fixed this). Then it won't start because the game can't find my fully updated Uplay program for some odd reason, so I had to uninstall and re-install that. Now it works, but Far Cry 3 doesn't.

Lava. That is all.
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I am really looking into the 3DS and DS lineup lately and I am thinking of getting a 3DS instead of any next gen system. Seems to be a lot of titles I would enjoy and I would not have to buy a HD TV to to go along with it.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I want to buy a brand new indigo gamecube controller (this is the color that came officially with the gamecube right?) , but all I find is the Wii/Gamecube compatible ones.
Are these official? Are they just as good? Should I stay away from them? Do you have an indigo gamecube controller brand new you want to sell for a reasonable price?

The color of the controller that came with the gamecube depends on the color of the console itself.
That controller doesn't look official at all. No Nintendo logos or anything for one.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
There are a lot of third party controller out there that look exactly like the Gamecube controller, but they don't feel quite right at all. I wouldn't buy one unless it was 1st party, which you can generally tell because it has the Nintendo Gamecube logo above the start button.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
if somebody told me 6 months ago that I'd be having this much fun playing Madden 08 on a PC... I don't see why I would have believed them.
