Half-Life is 10 years old. It's also 98 cents!

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Half-Life is 10 years old. It's also 98 cents!

Get off your asses, times two!

If you own a Windows based PC and you do not have Half Life, you officially have no excuse. It's practically free now.

I don't care if you don't like Half-Life. I don't care if you don't like first person shooters. I don't care if you only like retro games. What you are buying here for a buck is not the game itself, but the access to hundreds of great mods, many of which having nothing to do with shooting, or being in first person.

Here's a bunch of mods:

Whenever I talk to anyone new to PC gaming, this is the title I insist they buy first. You will never get this much value in anything else in this entire industry. I can't express the eons of time this engine has consumed from me.

If I didnt already have four copies Id be all over this. Hell I might just buy four more copies to have a good base for future setups. Hmm...

Thanks for the heads-up, Mozgus. I've never had the chance to pick this one up, and I'd be a dumbass to miss out on it at that price.

This might just be the cheapest game I have ever legally obtained online.

Now to see what all the fuss is about...

If you own more than one PC then it's probably worth getting an extra copy. Especially with the prevalence of routers in most homes.

Instant LAN party!

I have two copies... I don't even know why... Had them since PC games were sold in those huge card board boxes.

I have two copies as well, but I'm waiting for Black Mesa Source (it'll be a long wait still )

I remember getting Half-Life when I was like 12 (a few months late) and arguing with a friend if it or Starcraft had better graphics. Well, I still play both, so they are certainly ahead of their time!

Is this another one of those weekend deals or will it be staying like this?
