Unfortunately, I don't think Index Corp would ever be allowed to be sold to non-JP companies. With SEGA Sammy as the parent company, I do hope they keep Atlus as is, and even let Atlus handle the English-translation of all games (please take time to read an article on Game Informer about Atlus USA).

I will say if SEGA decides to breakdown Atlus and do nothing from here on, then SCREW SEGA!

I think Sega has been pretty cool for awhile now. They're a good publisher and put out stuff that isn't Asscreed or COD. The localization thing is the only roadblock for now, so fingers crossed on that...

[Game development] will be the same as it's been before." Sega head honcho – and now Atlus parent company Index's head honcho – Naoya Tsurumi said in an interview with Weekly Famitsu. "The people at Index have got everything under control and Sega has no intention of stepping in and disturbing their pace." Tsurumi did add that while Sega would not be actively micromanaging Atlus/Index's game development, Sega's resources would be at their disposal if needed.
