For those unaware, this is a very intricate Brawl mod in the making, which is essentially trying to make it more balanced, improve the movesets of certain characters, and make it more like Melee.
The newest version comes out December 9th, and will include Mewtwo and Roy, as well as the rest of the remaining brawl characters with their "fixed" movesets. Pokemon Trainer had his pokemon split up, so for example, you can now play as just Charizard with a complete move set.
Pretty exciting stuff for any smash bros fans. You also do not need a modded Wii to play it. Just a copy of Brawl, and a 2 GB SD card.

Initially, I thought the idea behind hacking Brawl just to make it more "melee-ish" was incredibly dumb and overzealous, but after actually playing this mod, I'm all for it.
Movement's a bit heavier, faster, and more satisfying. Characters that plain weren't effective or very fun to use before are now a blast to play with. Characters that were fun to use before are still fun to use now, and in some cases more fun than they were before.
It's just all around really enjoyable. I'm pretty happy with it and looking forward to the next update.
One big criticism I do have though: the stages. While I like how they've managed to port some great stages from Melee back into the game, the new stages are just plain boring. The additions of stages from other franchises make it feel a bit too much like an obvious fan project. I also hate how much stages like Wario Ware Inc. and Green Hill Zone were neutered in this to make them more "tournament viable" or whatever.

To be fair, they only changed a couple of stages to be "tournament viable". Most of the stages added won't be used in tournaments.AppleQueso wrote:One big criticism I do have though: the stages. And if you are not aware, you can simply remove the Project M versions of Wario Ware and Green Hill Zone from your SD card and the old versions will load up in there place.
