Worst Impulse Buys :P
Worst Impulse Buys :P
Just thought it would be interesting for people to share some of their impulse buy mishaps.
Easily my worst impulse buy ever would have to be the lifetime sub I purchased for The Secret World was really hyped about it at launch and took the $200 plunge
. Probably got around 60 hours into the game before I lost interest and moved on. Game went free to play a few months later
. My account does get a supply of cash shop funds every month but I haven't touched it in about a year
.

Buying packs of yugioh cards and just adding them to my cardboard box full of cards.
I haven't played in years.

I often do the same but with sports cards. Often in the hope of finding that one 'gem' and making a quick buck.flojocabron wrote:Buying packs of yugioh cards and just adding them to my cardboard box full of cards.

Crackdown.
It's a fun game, but totally not worth the $60

Soulcalibur 2 HD Online. It was one of my all-time favorite fighters and a game I won many tournaments in. What could possibly go wrong with this $20 digital purchase?
Let's see... There is NO online lobby system (wtf year is this?), therefore after every match, you are booted back out to the MAIN MENU... even after you INVITE someone (you have to keep reinviting ugh). The netcode sucks, which is a total step backwards from Tekken Tag 2 and SC5... games made by the SAME COMPANY. There is about 2-3 frames of input lag...in OFFLINE matches. Other than the badly implemented netplay, there are no added features (they couldn't even be bothered with adding the arcade conquest mode, which was awesome and could have been done online to great effect).
Just overall a horrible port, and total cash in on the nostalgia of arguably the best SC game of all time.
Worst yet? I bought it on both XBL and PSN before even trying it...to support my "favorite" FG company. Bastards. $40 down the drain.
