Good stuff cha cha, and cabs are easily worth any size shelf you can find full of games when it comes to conversation starters and your friends jealousy 8)

I have always had mixed feelings on the egret 3, but they are a harder cab to find. I'm guessing parts for that guy are as scattered as the egret 2? My buddy Dan (BIGTIME on the neo boards) has a pair of the noir cabs at the warehouse we played for pad hack SF4/KOF/UMVC3 ps3 and 360 setups.

Haha, I love the Egret 29's uniqueness, though it has some super annoying design flaws  Like if I wanna play anything from a CPS2 to Naomi board on it I have to leave them sticking out externally on like a TV tray, because it's shelf for boards is TINY. I also only have a Capcom kick harness that works Street Fighter the Movie the game...lol, not on any other Capcom/6 button fighters. So still got a lot to work on in terms of space saving and presentation for it. Finding stock replacement parts for the Egret is virtually impossible, btw :?

The Noir cab just looks amazing with HD console games and for the price I got it for, it's been worth every penny. All the value of the cabinet imo is in the monitor, virtually lagless and crystal clear 1080p. It's my fave cab for sure, but I think a lot of old school arcade enthusiasts shun it for it's newness haha.

Thanks for taking a look. Glad to be in 'the club'!

They are on the previous page, the post after them next page'd em :) If they are somehow not loading for you, is it possible your workplace/network proxy blocks free image hosting site images? Does anyone know a super reliable one I should use instead? I can repost from that if needed. :embarrassed:

Need FreeMCboot? I'll install it on your PS2 Memory Card for free if you cover postage both ways.
Consoles: I have too much stuff
Arcade: No seriously, I have too much stuff. Someone grab a shovel and dig me out of my basement.

chacha, as awesome as everyone already said.

I'd never heard of a Noir. What's the background on that?

I'd love to find a fixer-upper cab for my basement bar at some point. Though I still toy with the idea of building a cab eventually. Of course if I went that route it would be MAME.

I'd also still really love a cocktail cab as well.

And not a cab, but kind of related, my wife and I have our eye on one of those 2-player mini basketball hoops you often see in arcades for the basement.

Wow you have clearance in a basement for a 15 foot tall arcade basketball shooting game!? Man, show me pics, with a ceiling that high the sky is literally the limit with home arcade design! lol

As for the Noir, it's the official Namco HD cabs for their Tekken 6 and Tekken Tag 2 arcade boards. It's key feature is the "lagless" monitor in it, at least that is where the abundance of cost is applied. However the machine is spacious inside and accepts a multitude of inputs including HDMI, DVI, JAMMA, VGA, RGB and Analog video. It has 3 fans inside of it and a ton of LED lights along the dash and header panels. Seen in arcades here:

I know it's not retro, but I am a fighting game player and Tekken is amongst my favorites, so I made it a priority to get my hands on one.

y'know, to be (stupidly) honest, I hadn't put too much thought into height until you just said that. The one we were looking at, I really don't think was 15' but you make a good point about making sure it's gonna fit beforehand
