So here you want to not have debate and not be inclusive?

There was debate but they decided to let a staff member include, so there is no debate now.

so then you can see how including Deus Ex would avoid debate.

Deus Ex has a better case than Zelda. Problem is Dave is just being argumentative and trying to push boundaries or set rules and organization as usual. Must be learning some tricks from his son.

-Deus Ex
-Shadowgate Returns
-Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: Eye of the Beholder

^these are my nominations. There's been a lot of clutter so I wanted to make sure they weren't missed.

EDIT: Bone, you didn't nominate Fatal Labyrinth?

Last time we had the categories set in stone before nominating, didn't we? Are we not doing it this time?

Whomever is cataloging votes, be sure to get my Phantom Hourglass and OoT, please.

I will +1 Dave's Spirit Tracks nomination as well.

-1 for Fatal Labyrinth for me.

Yeah we did have the categories when we voted last year...

http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopi ... 33#p749033

Assuming we keep the same four categories, my picks are:

SRPG: Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together (Super Famicom, Saturn, PlayStation, PSP)
JRPG: Grandia (Saturn, PlayStation)
WRPG: Betrayal at Krondor (PC)
ARPG: Ys III: Wanders from Ys (PC-88, PC-98, MSX, Sharp X68000, Famicom, SNES, Genesis, Turbo CD, PlayStation 2)

Given Ogre Battle's rarity/expense, I think Tactics Ogre is a better choice.
Grandia is a classic JRPG all should experience.
Betrayal at Krondor is fantastic, and easy to find physically and digitally.
I went with Ys III over Ys II. Thought it would be cool to play a side-scrolling RPG. Maybe some folks could play Oath of Felghana as well, which is a complete remake.
