I was tempted to put this in the movie thread, but I saw it on TV. The 50th anniversary episode of Doctor Who was *@#%ING AWESOME!!! If you're a Who fan, it was a can't miss event. It has restored my faith in Moffat, who I was starting to believe can only write good stories for his other show Sherlock
Also caught the Nikita premiere, and right off the bat this season has a much more cinematic, big event feel to it. They're going out with a bang this season. I think they got a limited episode run this season, so I expect things to move at a very fast pace with audiences expected to hang on for the ride. Course, it's not like this show has ever done filler anyway so I expect the show's already great pacing to be even better. I still think this is one of the most underrated shows on TV
I'm 3 episodes into The Returned now (a.k.a. Les Revenants). It is REALLY good. It feels more like a mystery/drama than an actual horror show. The soundtrack on this show is excellent at setting the mood, whether it's mystery, suspense or melancholy. Some really nice directing on this show. I HIGHLY recommend this show
Speaking of horror, I'm thinking of jumping into American Horror Story Coven. I haven't seen the first two seasons of the show, but I'm told that each season is stand alone, with its own separate story.
TV is sooo fucking good right now. Between the awesome stuff airing right now and great stuff on netflix (like Orange is the New Black), it's hard to complain. I still miss Breaking Bad though
