Went to a thrift shop today (Thrift City U.S.A.). They had an original Xbox for sale. Somebody painted the entire thing white (badly). And the controller that went with it actually was a controller to one of these and not an Xbox controller at all:

Guess how much they wanted for it?

$50

lol!

I've beaten plenty of the games on my list more than twice, but only post it as beaten once.

I think Ack is trying to avoid the dreaded "double post."

Ack - maybe you should stop playing games that are so short and easy. Time to sac up and try out some Lagoon and Mystic Ark.

Actually, I just beat Soldiers of Fortune/Chaos Engine. I have kinda been hankering to go back to SNES RPGs...maybe I'll finally go back to Secret of the Stars....

Also, I once double posted in a Games Beaten thread and got a very nasty PM over it. Some people get really, really anal about it.

Really?! Really?!

Some people need something better to do...

Go ahead and double post. If you beat games faster than anyone else, I see no reason not to do so.

Random Gaming Thoughts:

I tried 1CC'ing Castlevania the other day, but I hit the Grim Reaper like a brick wall. (I also do not have a lot of practice with the final level; so, even if I had passed him, I am certain that either the clock tower or Dracula would have taken me out.) The GBA version - which allows me to save my progress between levels - allowed me to practice the final two sections of the game quite a bit, however, and I am now confident that I can get through the last two levels and Dracula's first form without taking a hit. Nonetheless, the Grim Reaper (and Frankenstein's Monster, honestly) is still a wild card for me, and I have not yet developed a great strategy for Dracula's second form. Accordingly, it may be a while before I can 1CC that game consistently. (Is there anyone here that has 1Cc'ed Castlevania? I know it is possible, but I don't think a lot of people do it. Moreover, I think that the unpredicatable Grim Reaper boss would make it very difficult.)

That said, the GBA version allows me to save my progress in Castlevania's dreaded "second quest". The "second quest" in Castlevania is the same as the first, except that: (1) the enemies do more damage; (2) the placement of sub-weapons is different; and (3) bats and medusa heads are constantly flying across the screen. (Also, the merman in the fourth level jump out of the water at a different points.) These three changes make the game radically more difficult, but the fact that I can save between levels in the GBA version will allow me to push through it for the first time.

Why didn't you just edit your post?

Or if you wanted to bump, why not copy post, delete it, paste into new post and add the new stuff?

Someone else had posted after him, so he could not have deleted/reposted. So, it would have been "unbumpable"

I wish someone would send me a nasty PM about double posting. That would make my day
