Grabbed the Zelda XL bundle on this morning from Wal-Mart on the way to work. They had about 5 or so in stock, and to my surprise, it rang up at $199 instead of the $219 it has been advertised everywhere! The console looks great in person, and I will be picking up some screen protectors after work. It "feels" different than my current XL that came from the launch of them, hard to describe it, but its the same thing as my wife's blue XL that we got way after they came out, I wonder if there was a revision somewhere in there. Debating on selling the game code so I can get the physical copy also.

I can't imagine another themed Nintendo console looking as pretty as this one.

anyone got any recommendations on screen protectors for the XL? Gamestop only had a set that came with just the bottom protector.

Why use a screen protector? are you like 8 years old?

Ive never used a screen protector on my DS, DS Lite, or 3DS XL, and they are in perfect condition, do you like play your game vigorously or something?

I just hate the idea of covering up the screen and ruining its integrity, it's like putting a nerf protector over a themed handheld like the new Zelda 3DS XL, it covers up its beauty.

I can understand someone wanting to use a screen protector to keep the bottom screen scratch free. Wouldn't recommend one for the top, but I would recommend a microfiber cloth between the two screens when the system is closed. That'll prevent scratches more than anything.

Some of us actually leave the house with our portables. When stuffed in a backpack, pocket, etc. the screens can get pressed together and the bottom screen bezel will scratch the top on both the original 3DS and the 3DS XL.
