Best Undiscovered PS2 First Person Shooters?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Hmm absoloutely no mention of black?? i never got around to playing a full game but i played the demo and it was pretty mad... but it lacked multiplayer which basically made me not buy it

The problem with that advice is that the "quit it" portion of the process becomes much more complicated after the "hit it" maneuver has been completed. Much easier to "quit it" before all else.

It gets boring in about 30 minutes. Demo was misleading.

I STRONGLY disagree and think this is the best single-player FPS for the PS2 hands down. However, it is now a "Greatest Hits" title and thus isn't getting attention in this thread because it is far from "undiscovered."

I'm so sick off hearing a game is sub-par because it's not built around multiplayer.

Black is a great game. Cold Winter was another good PS2 FPS.

Black was good fun, but it sold a million units at least. Hardly unknown.

And XIII did come to the PS2.

I'm sorry, but I've played a lot of FPS in my day, and Black is just dull. It did absolutely nothing new. It was all flash. Yes it had a great graphics engine for the system, but graphics don't mean jack shit if all you do is headshot the world's most predictable AI, in a dozen slightly different variations of the same fucking level.

The reasons you play Half Life on the PS2 are simple - highdef pack standard and Half Life Decay. Decay is the coop sidestory that still hasnt been finished as a mod to the original Half Life...

As for other PS2 FPSs:
Tribes Aerial Assault - sure its not as good as the pc titles it is a fun shooter. The multiplayer is also playable with only one disc (granted the consoles without the disc do not have sound).

Mace Griffin - there is are xbox and pc ports, but I believe it was programed for the PS2
