I finally got it and am underwhelmed. Though I'm only a few levels in and the hype really was insane, so maybe my expectations were too high. I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt. For now.

I also thought it was a solid game but it was overhyped

The primary story levels were solid and did the job of serving up some platforming goodsome. It also did very well designing levels to 'inspire' players to create their own levels...\
That said the primary story levels were too short

the main replayability factor of this games lies in the user's patience for both creating a level and searching through utterly large amount of crap user generated levels to find a good one

even the good user generated levels can be appreciated, but it doesn't necessarily have that certain 'oomph' or polish to outshine the story levels (well at this point in time)

personally, after beating the story mode (and attempting to create some levels) the game has been collecting dust at the corner of my desk...only occasionally putting it in to check out certain levels
i need money...

played the beta and it was pretty fun. was thinking about buying but after the muslim lyrics fiasco and now the censorship without given cause, i've decided not to buy it. maybe when it is in the bargain bin. i am a big proponent of free speech and expression and anything that doesn't stifle creativity. i just feel that such thing should be handled by the community that created the content. oh well, i am pretty sure they won't miss my 60 dollars that much seeing as many others have bought the game already. still busy and loving my valkyria chronicles.

I'm a nay sayer - I bought this a couple of weeks ago (about 2 days after launch) and I just havn't been able to get into it - online multi was a bit fun, but the actual game play is so loose it hurts - the jumping between planes thing is rubbish and keeps killing me, and generally the lag caused by physics gives the game a kind of distant feel, like i'm playing it through someone else, does anyone else find this?

Seemed like it might be fun for kids. For 4 twenty-something guys, it was good for 30 minutes of laughs. I can imagine the japanese market would love it - but for us, my friend is trading it in tomorrow. Nuff said.

In comparison, we tried Left 4 Dead 4 player co-op the same night and were totally blown away. 4 hours later at 3am we were considering playing through the 3rd 'movie... Best co-op experience ever. By far.
