1) Clear out areas that are blocking development (bushes, deserts, swampland, snow, etc)
2) Direct the people to build towards the monster lairs ASAP - doing this will increase your population faster by enabling all buildings to be stronger/hold more people
3) Listen to what the people tell you for clues as to recover items to increase MP and magical abilities and other items needed for later developments
4) Try to get the population as high as possible before going to Act 1 of next level (get to and look for the "Max" message in the city status menu) because the character will level up at certain population goals & each level that you increase also increases your health. (although this won't work in Bloodpool after its Act 2 as music is needed from Kasandora first)

Well fellas, it's done. ActRaiser's base game and Professional mode have both been beaten.

Now I want to go play something easy.

I am buying all Saturn games, PM me with your offerings and I will let you know if I need the game or not! (Everything must be CIB)

Currently trying to knock off all the sports games, would like to get them <$5 each! Of course if you would like to donate them I will gladly pay the shipping! :)

Actraiser 2 isn't easy, though. Professional mode was just Actraiser 1.5

I remember I played Act Raiser 1 , it was one of the simplest games I have ever played I was surprised how easy it was which makes me wonder why is Ack having trouble with it. Are you playing hard mode or something?

Actually, a lot of it is easy. The sim section in particular is relatively simple, if not always straightforward. But the platforming levels grow steadily more difficult. And after you beat the game, there is the Professional mode, which is all of the platforming sections in a row with no magic and harder enemies.

And ActRaiser 2 is fun and pretty, but the glide mechanics are absolute garbage.
