I've listened to some, and I do like it, although I don't really know that much about it. I really oughta check more of it out, but I haven't as of yet. Not sure where all to start, other than I know of Lord Lovidicus.BoneSnapDeez wrote:What about "dungeon synth"?Forlorn Drifter wrote: I just want fantasy music that isn't metal really.

Re: Random Thoughts Thread
Someone please explain to me why the BX can get more Xbox Ones in stock on launch day than people want to buy, but one week after the fact they have yet to stock a single PS4 console or game. I guess I'll be downloading my first game.

The answer is kind of in the question here.

When I was in the Air Force, anything the BX didn't have, they could order for you. I got a ton of comic books this way.RCBH928 wrote:alienjesus wrote:BoringSupreez wrote:Someone please explain to me why the BX can get more Xbox Ones in stock on launch day than people want to buy, but one week after the fact they have yet to stock a single PS4 console or game. They'll still do that, but with how long it takes most people just order whatever they want through Amazon instead. I think shipments only come in like once a week, or maybe two weeks. It really sucks for the tobacco users since some people live off Wintergreen Copenhagen and Redman, and when it goes out of stock it stays that way for a while.BurningDoom wrote:When I was in the Air Force, anything the BX didn't have, they could order for you. I'll give them credit where it's due though: the clearance sales are awesome. They have such a small market over here and they're so far away from the US that they're forced to slash prices deeper and deeper to make room for new products until I can't resist buying. I got BF3 for $1.24 a couple of weeks ago that way, and today they had Cadbury eggs for $0.07 each.

what is BX?

I never ever bought a game guide , you know the ones that look like a magazine. They were just so expensive for me , and of course you always have GameFAQs . Any one ever bought them or found them useful? Are they even still in print?

BX is like an on-base store for the American Armed Forces. Extremely low prices due to government contracts and no taxes.RCBH928 wrote:what is BX?

I've only borrowed game guides from friends simply because I like pictures in my guides, and they can be quite useful at times. However, as you pointed out, the internet is littered with guides so they really aren't worth the money. They do still print them, although they sell much less than they used to.

Re: Random Thoughts Thread
I don't bother with strategy guides for the most part, unless I'm really invested in the game (I have the guides for Dragon Quest VI and IX, for instance).
I would buy them if I had more disposable income I suppose. They seem to typically go for $20 a pop, and for that price I would rather invest in another game. And yeah, most everything is online.
They were amazing back in the day though, before the internet. I would have never finished The Legend of Zelda without the NES Game Atlas. I also have guides to FFVI, Chrono Trigger, Link to the Past, and a few others.
