Are you sure about that? The final boss in FFIII is a beast, and the bosses immediately before her are much more difficult than most of the final bosses in later Final Fantasy games. It takes a lot of grinding, planning, and preparation to get to her, and I am not sure you would be able to do it if you can't get past Sephiroth in Final Fantasy VII (who, as other posters noted, is incredibly easy).
I have never actually faced sephiroth as I said I was paranoid and always ended up stopping right before entering the crater :P. Plus my last near complete play through of VII was about 7-8 years ago :P and my FFIII play through was just last summer. My RPG strategy has developed quite a bit in that time :P.

I did a lot of grinding about mid way through III and spent hours scouring through every location to ensure I got all the chests. I was breezing through the end. However I was playing it during a trip and when I got back I just didn't bother going back to the DS to finish it :P. The twist in the middle wasn't really my cup of tea either so that probably played a factor in why I stopped.

You should pick it up again. The last section is a great challenge, and the last boss is a lot of fun. Plus, you don't want to let all that work go to waste!

That's too funny, my last FF VII save from 2004 is also at that same exact spot. I got halfway through when I re bought it on PS3 but I just stopped after trying to get all the random attacks from enemies. Have to go back one day.

FF VII rules my gaming world...can't even begin to count how many times I've played through it, but I can remember almost everything about that game from start to finish. I definitely miss the days when turn-based RPGs were the norm.

I never played Ballz 3D :(

Um, I never got around to complete Banjo-Tooie which is a major one; one of my favorite games of all-time. This is from someone who loves collectathons.

Never played: Chrono Trigger, FFVII and VI, Earthbound, Majora's Mask, Castlevania IV and Symphony of the Night, Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Metroid

:o :o :o ! How on god's green earth have you made it in life this far without playing at least one of these? please go play one of these immediately and report back with stories of triumph and happiness!

Every time I try to play Chrono Trigger for some reason I get bored and stop playing after only a few minutes. Don't know why I can't get in to that game. D:

I've killed him twice but a leftover scythe got me both times...and anyone who says this isn't a challenge obviously hasn't tried it!
Man, Death is hard as balls in CastleVanias 1 & 3. In IV he's a bit easier since you can whip in more directions, but he's still challenging. In Castlevania 2 he's a pussy.
