Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I've 1CC'd Contra, but have never completed another Contra game.
And as far as backlogs go, I'm still working on my Atari 2600 backlog.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Fun fact: simultaneously playing an MMORPG and an endlessly difficult rhythm game series makes reducing one's backlog pretty difficult.

I used the 30 lives cheat the first time I beat Contra, but eventually I got good enough to not use it.BurningDoom wrote:Very cool. I've never tried it, because I always use the 30 men cheat.
Really, not even Super C? I found Super C to be a bit easier than its predecessor when I last played.BoneSnapDeez wrote:I've 1CC'd Contra, but have never completed another Contra game.
Can most of those games really be counted as part of a backlog? I mean, most of the noteworthy games are Sports titles and Arcade ports, neither of which have endings. And as far as backlogs go, I'm still working on my Atari 2600 backlog.
My thoughts on the generation's end in a nutshell.Gamerforlife wrote:So random gaming though, how awesome is it to be at the end of the a generation? Three things I'm excited about:
1. The best last gen games are coming out now, some I've already played. Some of the greatest titles of a generation come out right towards the end
2. There's never been a better time to fill out your collection. Prices on last gen games are bound to drop.
3. There's never been a better time to get started on back logs too, as releases for this ending generation gradually slow down. If you can't afford a PS4/Xbox One or even a WiiU, it's PS3/360/Wii backlog time!

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I've been on a "action-platformers with female protagonists and anime cutscenes" kick lately. Alisia Dragoon, Psychic World, Valis, Kendo Rage, El Viento, etc...
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I've never heard of El Viento before but NOW I WANT IT.
16 bit + anime-style graphics + Cthulhu mythos = MY KIND OF GAME!
