Never heard of that issue.

Ordered a 'gaming' mousepad for $15 yesterday. Razer Goliathus Control. We'll see how that goes. But one of my mouse pads skips around a lot when I try to be precise. And another I have is a little bit better. Curious about whether this gaming pad will finally give me the precision I want.

keep me posted. I've been thinking about getting a gaming mousepad myself. I currently use the mousepad that came with my Saturn mouse. But really, it's a cool decoration but not the best mousepad. Although I should probably consider a better mouse than the one I have at some point as well, as I'm just using a crappy Lenovo one.

I'll definitely let you know. I ordered a cloth one for comfort. It's pretty ugly, to be honest. I wish it were more plain and didn't have the ugly Razer logo all over it.

I can imagine that some of the hard mouse pads might be easier to glide across, but they'd hurt my wrist more. My right wrist has always been sensitive since my drumming days. And before anyone makes THOSE kinds of jokes, I am left handed.

Cloth pads are fine, but you have to wash them every once in a while and they only really last about 8 months if you're like me and have sweaty hands.

If I might make a mouse recommendation:

Older. Not wiser.

Maybe next time I'll look at hybrids then? Like plastic on top but foam/rubber/whatever underneath the top layer. We'll see how this goes.

That mouse looks pretty nice. I like MMO mice, personally. Mapped all 12 thumb buttons in Bioshock Infinite that I just started.

I feel like a mouse (much like keyboard) is something I'll have to pick out after trying hands-on. I can tell you I did try a few mice at Best Buy recently, and I don't like the MMO ones that have tons of extra buttons as I feel like I hit a lot of them by accident. Plus, I really don't play many games that require that many buttons on a mouse anyway.

It depends on the game. Some have good reason to include extra buttons, like games with dedicated melee or grenade buttons in FPS. It can make things a lot easier if you don't have to move a hand on the keyboard to stab a guy in the face.

if I were playing an FPS my hand wouldn't be on a keyboard to begin with.

You say that, but Fast and I might invite you to play on Steam, and you're gonna want a mouse and keyboard for that. Trust me.

let me get this straight? You think that sucking with a controller is going to make me want to suck worse because I'm trying to use a kb/m that I'm not comfortable using?
