Smile: Finally sent to Nick the Wii Defining games article that Prfsnl_gmr and Omerta helped me put together. What seemed like a tiny task when I suggested it turned into a major undertaking that I would have bombed without their help. Kudos, dudes!

Frown: Ack's wondering about the Gamecube article now. Oh well, I'm drunk.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

My mom had this one for as long as I can remember and she let me have it when I moved out.

Quick look on ebay shows a couple of BINs for $25 and up. Yeesh.

Smile: Incredible weekend. Yesterday my in-laws came over to surprise my wife for an early Birthday party that I had planned weeks earlier. She definitely was surprised and her parents took us out for lunch. I masticated baby back ribs with steamed veggies and black beans. After lunch we gave her a few gifts and then her parents peaced out in time for me to catch the Bears game on the tube, which was fantastic.

After the game we went over to a friends house for a second surprise party and to watch the Walking Dead. My friend Prinlges bought and brought all the food, and I manned the grill. Beef tenderloin, grilled shrimp, green beans, garlic mashed potatoes, french bread and a birthday cake. Good times were had by all, and I cooked the fillet to a perfect 135 degrees. Luckily everyone preferred their steak to be served medium rare.

On the subject of food, over the weekend I had one of my favorite burgers: Burger topped with pickled beets and a fried egg. Sounds odd, but that sucker turns out very delicious.

and...

I haven't installed my new projector screen as snaking the wires has proven to be a bit difficult and I need to purchase several feet of "those cable hiding things". Can't wait to get around to hanging the screen as it's a lot nicer than I expected. It's a six foot bar, that when you press a button on the remote, cascades down into a full screen. It's very theatrical (ho ho).

Frown: I learned that on Thanksgiving my Mother-in-law will not be cooking the Turkey and dressing, but my Grandmother in law is cooking it, and then she'll carve it and drive twenty minutes to my in-laws house and serve it. I'm used to not having warm turkey, but pre-sliced cold turkey for Thanksgiving? Gross.

When I mentioned that my parents are staying for X-mas we still got the "Can you at least come over for Lunch, or Dinner?" questions again. *insert Charlie Brown ugh*. And when I mentioned I would be making Turkey with stuffing my Father-in-law said "You mean dressing. In the South it's called dressing", to which I corrected him "If the stuffing is stuffed inside the bird, it's stuffing". While saying that I thought to myself "Dressing is that stove top dry crap baked in a glass dish and served cold with gravy from a packet".

This also means that as usual they'll be serving the one bottle of wine for eleven people. I drink more wine during Communion.

Well that Ack guy is an asshole

Smile - Good weekend spent on side projects and camping
Ticked - Work decided to explode over the weekend. Granted that is what happens when our main support groups get fired and the job is moved to India. They dont actually fix the issues they just send them back to us. So those twenty tickets I created on the internal database, right back in my inbox this morning. You would think, if I could fix them I wouldnt have made the ticket...

:D The weather's actually pretty nice lately, at least since yesterday. The rash of cooler weather was the result of a cold front that passed.

:D Tried the PS4 last night. I was walking to Target out of sheer boredom and when I got there, I tried out Pinball Arcade (or whatever it's called), Knack and that game with the woman who jumps into shadows. Also watched a few trailers for some games.

 Turns out we're not really doing anything for Thanksgiving this year. My mom works during the day, and my brother and his girlfriend both work in the evening. First I spent October without any of my horror films, and now this! She's also apparently thinking about ordering Chinese for dinner! I just can't wait to move to New York.

Smile: Got contacted back to check out a house closer to my work. This would be great because I currently have to be at work at 5am and it's close to an hour drive. Turns out the guy who contacted me works at the same place but on another shift.

Frown: If it doesn't work out it's back to searching. I'm currently living with my brother and his family for the better part of a year and it's driving me absolutely insane. I can't wait to get out!

Smile: My birthday is tomorrow. It really snuck up on me, this month is going by really fast. Glad to be moved into my new place and settled in for the most part in time for my "big day".

Frown: No friends, no plans... my birthday is going to suck. haha
