I'm waiting for that day that skinny shit goes away.
"Skinny Shit" as in guys that weigh 10 pounds less than the girls they run with and are overweight at 125? That's here to stay, I think.

Electric Cowboy
One of those kinda 70's cosmic cowboy movies about... uhh, being a cowboy. The real point of the movies are kinda to grab the lifestyle and idealism of the group, similar to all the biker movies. This one specifically is about a cowboy and a news anchor women who follows him after he steals a $12 million horse from Las Vegas. Pretty good concept, a bit of animal rights thrown in for shits and giggles.

Doesn't really matter how much you weigh more about the cut of jeans looking like you're wearing your girls pants.

My girlfriend hasn't seen many movies but recently expressed an interest in action movies. I showed her Commando a couple of weeks ago, and then over the weekend followed up with these:

Her education is coming along well.

Real Steel, though I fell asleep (because I was tired not because it was boring) half way through. Good movie. I like Hugh Jackman, good actor.

It's certainly better than this...
I think this kind of fashion was bad even for its time

So...Good first 45 minutes of a movie?

Ack, Good choices. Ease her into THE EXPENDABLES like you are doing.

I still think Mad Max 2 is an awful film with a terrible characterization and lacking everything that made the original good.

Also: Lol that kid. Lol that crazy guy. Lol that boring explanation of everything at the beginning of the film in a faux DUN DUN DUUUN tone.

Yeah, fuck it. Biggest dissapointment in a long time.

She has actually seen both, thank goodness. I'm considering going with Demolition Man, Bloodsport, Total Recall, and Dirty Harry soon action, though I also would have liked to show her The Dirty Dozen. She's seen Saving Private Ryan, but that's pretty much it for war movies. She's also asked about Point Break, since we recently watched Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.

Yeah, that's the plan. She's got a growing appreciation, even if she finds some of them awful.

Funny enough, critics completely disagree with you. Mad Max 2 is one of the few films on Rotten Tomatoes to have a 100%.

That said, if you want a real shock, check out some of the other post apocalyptic schlock that came out in its wake. Warrior of the Lost World, 2019, Endgame, etc.
