it'd prob be an easier decision for me. I don't love 3D Mario games.

I liked 3D Land, but I far preferred NSMB2.

I'm currently in the really odd position of being more excited about the new Mario game than the new Zelda.

Nothing I've seen about Link Between Worlds has made me excited for it, the aesthetics of the game are ugly as sin, and not even the 10/10 reviews I've seen are making me feel much towards it. I'll pick it up around Christmas maybe, but I'm not thrilled by it. Maybe it's because I found both of the DS Zelda games to be fun enough, but rather underwhelming overall.

The new Mario though looks like it's hit the nail on the head. I'm a big fan of the 3D mario games, particularly 64 and Sunshine, and I enjoy the 2D ones well enough aswell, although Im slightly less fond of them. 3D Land felt great, and 3D World looks like it's just built upon that as a foundation and dialled everything up to 11. Definitely pretty excited to play this one.

On the topic of 3DS, I have a lot of stuff to catch up on. I still havent got around to picking up Mario & Luigi or Luigis Mansion 2, and I have to pick up the new Professor Layton game too!

Someone on a different forum I am on mentioned seeing some of the Zelda 3ds xl's in stock early at their Wal-Mart, so I ran out to my nearest one to check, and they had an empty spot with a price tag where it should be. Not sure if it was just a place holder, or it had been stocked and sold out already. I ended up checking a couple of other wal-marts over the weekend, but no luck, they didnt even have the price tag. One of the ones I was at did have Xbox one controllers for sale already, but only one store...

I wont buy Zelda until I am done with Pokemon. So Christmasish. I love Zelda games, but I am trying to beat one current gen game before I buy the next one.

I put more time into pokemon than I could have ever expected, I believe I was at 60 hours when I beat the elite 4

I am at 20 hours, but have a level 60 party and just got to the Snow city. I know that once I beat the E4, I wont be done with it, but I have other things that have gotten in the way recently.

Honestly, it is partial compromise with the wife. While she doesnt mind buying new games, she hates having a backlog of current gen games. I think it came from us having unopened Wii games when buying the Wiiu. So we try to have only one active singe player new game per console. PC games are alittle different since crazy sales keep popping up.

I need to play NSMB2, so I can say you're wrong.

I pre-ordered mine about a week ago at EB, was actually quite surprised that they were still accepting them so late. What I'm not impressed with is the lack of a physical copy of the game, just like the Fire Emblem special edition 3DS. Come on Nintendo, how about a little fan service for the diehards!
