Yea ps+ has definitely prepared me for the sale immediately following a purchase of anything but right now after getting this built I'm just so hyped that I had to get something I really wanted you know?
wclem yea I got that bundle last night from my laptop while my computer was on the fritz. I wish I could have gotten the ea bundle but I wasn't built at the time.

Indeed, I've had 2 or 3 times where I plugged in a new graphics card and it seemed to be plugged in all the way only to be greeted by sad mobo BIOS beeps. Then I'd push the card in again and get a second 'crunch' as it really seated itself a millimeter deeper and then everything was fine.Jmustang1968 wrote:The gpu card probably wasnt seated well.

It's a good budget build, but like any in that category, it's a question of how strict your budget is.wclem wrote: Looking for some feedback on this. Am I going underpowered, or not looking to the future. What should I change out and why? Do you think it will give me some life or is it a clunker?
AMD fanboy for a long, long time. Is that gonna cause and issue with that motherboard? Or, should I buy something a little higher in quality, price? Recommendation?isiolia wrote:It's a good budget build, but like any in that category, it's a question of how strict your budget is.wclem wrote: Looking for some feedback on this. Personally, it'd take a very tight budget for me to not plunk down the extra $20 for an FX-6350. Tom's Hardware's budget AMD article illustrates how noticeable the extra cores can be when utilized.
If you could afford another $50-100 though, I'd start looking at i5s as well. Unless that breaks RAM compatibility or something.
