I watched Chasing Ghosts: Beyond the Arcade, pretty horrible film that is really some dudes who were good at Video games as teenagers talking about the groupies they got the little media attention that followed. Most have massive egos and it is a chore to watch.

I enjoyed Chasing Ghosts. It was almost like a prequel to King of Kong.

I loved Doom, horribly terribad awesome movie, would watch again /10

$1 at the pawns the other day . Interested to see what extra scenes there are. While the story was pretty meh and the Rock's character/role was kind of disappointing the weapons, monsters, sets, and effects make for a pretty cool movies. Especially love the first person segment at the end which is rather unique.





As for the Resident Evil movies the first two are the best. The third is still pretty good, and the fourth is hooky at times(they focused way to much on 3d) but still somewhat fun to watch. The last movie however is an abomination they screwed up so many of the games characters . They literally took a dump on the entire RE game series in one go and even involved clones to bring back previously dead characters .

1) of the 12 or so people I know who have seen Jennifer's Body, you're the only one I know who doesn't love it.

2) I like the first RE movie. I haven't watched sequels yet.

3) The acknowledgement that many video game movies are less than stellar is part of the fun in joining up with the club.

4) BTW, I forgot to mention that Noiseredux's Movie Night Club has a "No Lukes Policy"

5) I know we already let a guy named Luke in before you, but the rule is "Lukes" - plural. We're allowed to have one.

But yeah, that's not the best reference.

I found the RE movies to be putrid. No fun, no brains, terrible cgi, no common sense...just awful.

I think "No Lukes Allowed" makes your club sound more like a club than "No Lukes Policy".




Had a Jordy Boggus movie marathon last night, and as always, it was awesome. SAVED BY THE BELL MYSTERIES is my least favorite, but it's still terrific. Guy hasn't made a bad film yet.

And I too, love Jennifer's Body. I think that movie got way more flack than it deserved.

I have seen a lot of good horror films this month, but I think that Jennifer's Body is probably the only one that will get repeat viewings. It was just a lot of fun.

Jennifer's Body was a perfect antithesis to Juno and Young Adult was an amazing cap to what I guess is kind of a trilogy of movies relating to teen girls?

I was kind of apprehensive going in, since it was written by Diablo Cody. As expected, the dialog was pretty ridiculous, but I actually really enjoyed it.
