The Simpsons is syndicated.

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I am a huge Simpsons fan.

This is a big deal if I can stream episodes online. Specifically, I want to stream the episodes I don't already have on DVD (seasons 17, 18, 19, 21, 22, 23, and 24). I can't wait to stream these.

Fox does own FX. Maybe some corporate tax loop holes are the reason for companies doing something like this?

Okay can someone please explain to me then why a NewsCorp-owned company has to pay another NewsCorp-owned company to air NewsCorp-owned TV show?

hmmm..... The conspiratorial side of my brain thinks bryan may be onto something here. The logical side of my brain thinks that there's possibly another angle to this I'm not seeing yet.

NewsCorp is the parent company. Since they fund subsidiary companies they own, they expect money back in return for their funding.

So would a good analogy be competing small businesses getting loans from the same bank?

Not really the same thing. Newscorp is a parent company which controls its subsidiaries. This is not the same thing as a bank or a lending institution.

I seem to remember FX airing syndicated episodes of Married...With Children (another Fox show) without requiring any hundred million dollar deals.
