Yeah and I tried with 4 minutes left -- had probably close to my best chain in Stage 1, made it halfway through and got it up to nearly +300. That 8 billion score I had was a pre-boss XP of 25K and 50K by the time I finished it off.

This week made me realize how good this game is, I even played it on the DC today and put a score in fox's high score thread.

I'm prepared for Cave goodness not seen before by me, this is where I may not do all that great, but Team NES stayed strong this week -- bring it on!

Mars Matrix is definitely a great game. It always gets a visit from me at least once a year. I was looking at about 30k and 60k pre/post boss on the first stage, so not too far off from where you were.

I'm really looking forward to this week and next week. I own the PS2 and 360 ports respectively, but I have probably spent a combined total of 10 minutes playing them. I'll be starting from scratch with both games, so it'll be a lot of fun

I'm certainly not gloating. I know damn well I would have gotten my ass handed to me if we were playing progear. It'll be fun to see how this all plays out
