What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Luke, yr too modest. I was there and here's how it went down.

New Dude: Who's Luke?

Me: *closes eyes, shakes head back and forth slowly, opens eyes, very cold and forceful, head slightly tilted to the left* "You better recognize, realize and analyze that shit, you dig?"

*Sales associate I know backs up slowly, new guy rolls his eyes*

I've gotten the "omg you still play those ~*old*~ games?" comments from GS employees before.

There was these cute young lady working in the Augusta GS last year, no idea if she's still there. I noticed she was wearing an Atari Jaguar pin and we started to chat it up. I mentioned that I had a 3DO and she said "did you ever notice that it looks like a Wii Balance Board?" Blew my mind.

Every time I've ever ran into another "retro gaming enthusiast," while out and about, the conversations have always been awkward and unproductive.

Yes Sir. And to auction for the charity of this year!

Smile: Just got off the horn with a buddy who has a screen that is basically made for my projector. The visuals already look great on my theater wall, but this sucker is free and will make every color brighter and crisper. The screen has to be plugged in, but snaking a wire is easy as pie.

Bonus: I love working on house projects, so this is all kinds of great.

Yeah, I have a hard time talking to dudes. With women I just go into instantaneous automatic flirt mode.

I remember one time I was shopping at the local retro games shop and some guy saw me picking up copies of Wild Arms 3 and 4. We had a conversation that went something like this:

Him: "So, you like RPGs?"
Me: "Yeah man, RPGs are great."
Him: "Yeah I like RPGs too."
Me: "Yeah me too."
*both of us now slink off in opposite directions*

Ive got no problem talking to people about games if they will talk back. IF it is one sided that's the end of that. Ive gotten some great recommendations out of those conversations. Heck I talked to a TSA agent about Ms. Pacman while stuck in line for my last flight.
