Need resident expert on CD drives

Hey, I need to ask someone very knowledgeable about CD drives some questions about operations. I have a pretty good idea of most of the operational details, but I want more, and it requires someone who knows them pretty intimately.

Would prefer actual expert, but will accept cottage expert if need be. Hedge wizards need not apply (stick to gardening, hedge wizards).

I know quite a bit what are you trying to do? or trying to fix? I know most drives other then the auto feed drives such a the ps3 first models I do also understand how this works other then the mechanical side

I found found the information I need, but thanks. There's a fantastic CD drive repair guide on-line that is detailed and quite fascinating and addressed most of my questions and concerns.
