Still tons of the $2.50 mystery bags around here. However my printer botched the coupon which led to a somewhat awkward moment at the self check out. Clerk ended up checking me out and I told her to just toss the coupon instead of getting a manger to verify it :P. I was buying Diapers for a charity and Copy paper so the clerk probably thought I was a young parent or something so she cut me some slack and didn't call me out on the coupon or anything :P.

Might try again tomorrow at another walmart if I can get my printer to pump out a decent enough coupon.

If anyone can pm me a high res scan that would be great. Think the one I have will work okay if I blow it up a bit but it wouldn't hurt to have a back up.

P.S. It's pretty cool to see people from the Bluefield and Princeton area on here I actually spent a good chunk of my childhood there.

That's groovy. I did not realize how many folks on this forum are from West by god Virginia. Maybe we should all have a meetup sometime next year. I actually just met Frag Thursday night for the first time in the real world. We were rooting through the Fisher Price toys and bumped into each other. Frag seems like a cool man.

Thursday night My woman and I picked up two more kids off the Salvation Army Angel Tree. There's a four-year-old little boy named Adam who likes dinosaurs and pirates. Well, Adam's getting a haul this Christmas.

Adam gets a Dimetrodon and a Stegosaurus!

We also got Adam the whole set of Pirates. I like "Tik-Tok the crocodile" the best.

There's a four-year-old girl named Christy (I think) who likes Dora the Explorer, Dolls, and Art supplies. She's going to be really pleased Christmas morning.

She's getting a Dora doll plus a bunch of other Dora toys.

She's also getting crayloa colored pencils, crayola water color paints. a big darn drawing pad, pipe cleaners, googly eyes, and more art supplies.

Heads up!
We did this again at the Wytheville Wal*Mart Friday and had no problem. We went to the Bluefield Wal*Mart later and encountered some trouble. The Bluefield Wal*Mart has gotten wise to this Fisher Price coupon.

Well, it seems that Wal-Mart as a company has wised up to these coupons and put the Kai bosh on the whole thing. Apparently a memo was sent out yesterday that told employees not to accept the coupons anymore. We were trying to get some stuff yesterday and the customer service manager on duty informed us of the change and was super nice about it. Earlier in the day my sister was told the same thing in her town and my mom in a neighboring town.

I was able to get tons of games, movies, gift cards, house hold items, and tons of other stuff just for my self and family. I was also able to complete Christmas shopping for my kids and extended family.

However, what I'm most pleased with is how much I was able to donate to Toys for Tots and Angel Tree. Using these coupons we amassed a ton of small cheap toys. Which we returned for store credit that allowed us to buy tons of good toys for the Toys for Tots (we didn't want to just fill the bin up with $3 toys). We also used a lot of the credit generated by the coupons for donation toys as well. The Angel Tree kids got the specific toys they asked for, but since we didn't spend a lot of our actual money buying family members gifts, we used our money for the Angel Tree Kids.

All in all, we were able to donate around $2000 worth of toys, which I'm really happy about. It may have been a glitch, an error, or an over site. But, at least a lot of kids (and me :D ) got to benefit from it.

On a side note, a lot of the employees in the store knew what we were doing and thought it was awesome. In fact, a lot of them helped us find specific items we wanted and correct errors when we had trouble checking out. 8)

I'm glad people are giving away the toys. I'm going to do the same (all of the toys I got), but not anywhere near that amount in money. I got a few groceries for me and my family, so I'm happy with that. Thanks for sharing the wealth!

Thanks for the heads up, Frag.

I too have donated toys to the Salvation Army's Angel Tree kids as well as the Marine Corps' Toys for Tots.

Like Frag, I also received help from Wal*Mart employees. Many of the ladies who work at Wal*Mart are mothers themselves. They were glad to help me find the Toys for the Angel Tree kids.

I brought all these toys to the Salvation Army, and now the ladies who volunteer there know me by name. They know that I need a bed frame, so they gave me the tip off when a newish bed frame came into the Salvation Army Thrift Store.

This kind of positive spirit just keeps giving.

so i got detained and questioned by a head cashier tonight. was informed that wal-mart is viewing this as coupon fraud now and that had i "known what i was doing" that i could go to jail since coupon fraud is a felony. successfully talked my way out of it, but it was not a very fun experience. oh well! keep that in mind if you're going to attempt this again :)

How exactly does one "get detained" by a cashier?

head cashiers are management, i had also already paid for the items and was entering my coupons on the last of my transactions. she opened up the machine and saw the printed coupons and called over her manager, and they made a big deal about it. i was trying to just get out of there with my stuff since i had paid for it but they wouldn't let me leave really easily. so to avoid a scene or any trouble i just stayed put until they were done figuring out that i was just a dummy and didn't know what i was doing and i was super sorry.

it got me out of this one, that's for sure.

i'm starting to think that if i had gone in there with my family and done it like Frag and samson had been, they would have been a lot nicer. but as it was it just looked like some punk kid with long hair trying to game the system.
