And warming up is soooo much more fun and affordable. Nothing against Ice Cold Lemonade, but hot cocoa or a hot bowl of chili is hard to beat. I would also bet that more people like to warm up next to a fire as I've never heard of people "Gathering 'round ye old A/C unit".

And for those in a relationship, snuggling with your partner in bed rules.

Again, it isn't about nostalgia...heat drains me, cold invigorates me.

Not that replacing a solenoid doesn't stink, but I'll take that over having my thighs melt to a car seat.

Our central air is set to 62 during the day, 65 at night during the Winter. 74 during the day and 72 during the Summer.

Eastern NC only has two seasons.

I never really turn the heater on. My wife will when she gets too cold. I just bundle up. I used to like to open the window in winter while sleeping. Cold air smells better and has that refreshing sharpness to it when breathing it in.

I'm totally with you Luke; heat sucks and it's much easier and nicer to get warm than it is to cool off. I wear t-shirt and shorts specifically so I can stay cool, and I'll wear them far longer than most people (season-wise).

:( Cold front swept in and I still don't have my hoodie and a pair of jeans. I had to settle for my mom's rain jacket, which thankfully is unisex.

If I found out that there was someone responsible for cold weather I would take their head. I had to literally tear the doors off my car this morning. I didn't move to South Carolina to deal with this shit.

I'm just very uncomfortable in cold weather. Around 45 I'll be shaking like a leaf. Anything below 30 is unbearable and borderline painful to me. I also have Raynaud's disease, so long term exposure puts my extremities at risk and hurts like a bitch.

I keep the heat at 69 though. It's just the very cold weather that beats me up. I don't mind a little chill.

That's because you get it in small doses and it reminds you of childhood. If you got it 1/3 - 1/2 the year, you'd not be so nostalgic and chipper about "seeing your breath" and the "frost on the car window". Barf.
That goes for heat as well, IMO. The weather is great right now but March-September it's uncomfortably hot.

:D Bubsy the Bobcat is (approximately) 18 years old today! You can play a great game honoring this historic anniversary at:

(Seriously, this is awesome. I am going to spend some time with it when I get home today.)
