What does that make Carrot Top?
I actually met Carrot Top at our local mall. This is when I was living at home (maybe 1998 or so). I had just come out of a matinee with a friend and we were just walking around shooting the breeze. He then stops and points into a sporting goods store (Klein's...I forget?) We look in through the glass and sure enough, Carrot Top. Me: "Carrot Top?" Carrot Top: "Hey what's up guys?!" He then informed us of his upcoming show that weekend. It goes without saying, but we didn't ask for a backstage pass. The thing that still stands out the most? We saw his buttcrack in those skinny little jeans - he was bent over trying on some shoes.

My freshman year of college a friend called me to brag about hanging out with Carrot Top after a show at App State. To this day any time he says the word "awesome" I interrupt and ask "As awesome as the time you and Carrot Top hung out?".

All the "Tosh is dumb and not funny" talk is like when you guys argue how ugly some random supermodel is. What makes those comments even funnier is that they're coming from people who probably watch American Dad and Family Guy. I also doubt any of you have seen him live.

Smile: It's in the thirties today, and will be in the twenties tonight. This is my type of weather. I'm off for the day and plan on going ice skating this afternoon (solo) and if there is a pick up hockey game tonight I'll definitely participate.

Plus with this weather I can wear one of my hockey sweaters. Besides a suit, hockey sweaters are my favorite things to wear. Which reminds me, I have a photo album somewhere in one of my storage bins that has photos of my past girlfriends wearing nothing but a hockey sweater. I think I hid it too well that maybe I won't be able to find it.

Frown: My old Bauers (and by old I mean almost 20 years old) just aren't worth putting on anymore. Looks like I'll be wearing rental skates...nasty.

I also don't like Daniel Tosh - and I'm basing this solely on his stand-up comedy, of which I've heard a fair mix (thanks, Pandora). It's just not my sort of humor. But eh, like judging the looks of a supermodel, or arguing over which song is better, comedy is an art. And art hits different people in different ways. I wouldn't say Tosh is talentless. But his talent does nothing for me. And I'm sure comedians that I do laugh at do nothing for the next guy. Taste in any art is a personal thing. It's fun when everyone realizes that it's ok if we don't all like the same stuff.

Listening to clips from Pandora and seeing a comedian live are two completely different things. Mitch Hedberg cd's make me laugh, seeing him live made me laugh until I was crying and my stomach hurt the next day from so much laughter.

It's like seeing a band live. Sometimes a band you think you love actually sucks, and sometimes a band you don't like actually brings down the house.

Not saying Tosh is hilarious, but the guy has serious chops and has attained what every stand up comedian wants in a career at a very, very young age. He's a brilliant businessman as well as a successful comedian who sells out every gig.

I don't understand why someone being a "good businessman" should have any bearing on whether I actually like what they do or not.

:( : It's all the sudden 21 degrees F when the hell did it get so cold? My hands are numb...

Not saying it should. Someone mentioned "He's bad at business" which couldn't be further from the truth.

Put on some hockey gloves (best gloves ever).

I don't have any gloves at all right now as I really didn't expect the temperature to drop so suddenly. Bare hands + ice cold steering wheel = not a fun drive home.

Extreme heat can be pretty uncomfortable, but man I hate the bitter cold.

Agreed. But hearing an hour or so of his jokes gave me a pretty good idea that they weren't the kind that make me laugh.

I'd assume that if you listened to an hour of - oh, I don't know KANYE WEST - that you'd have a pretty good idea that they weren't the sort of songs you liked?

Smile - Getting stuff done at work
Ticked - Its 29 outside right now and the damn AC is on in the office. And since our HVAC system is maintained remotely they are saying it wont be fixed for a few days. I can see my breath at my desk.
