Well, my Dreamcast gaming is getting better and better!

See, in the last couple of weeks, all these have arrived for me:

The arcade stick came boxed and mint, and Gigawing and Zero Gunner 2 both have spine cards and are in mint condition. Paid slightly over the odds for Gigawing, but slightly under for both ZG2 and the stick, so hey!

Wonderful arcade stick.

I know that everyone on every forum always says "It's the best stick for the Dreamcast...yadda...blah blah...." BUT it REALLY is! I was using my Hori Saturn Fighting Stick with a Dreamconnector, but the Agetec stick feels superior. Definitely has a springier stick action.

Zero Gunner 2. I've been after this for so long but never been able to afford it. Finally got a mint copy for less than £40. So pleased! It really is a brilliant fun game. It gives me the impression I can beat it... hmm, but then it is by Psikyo...

Also, I got myself a cheap 4-into-1 AV splitter off ebay. I set it up today and it works really nicely. I can have the sound from all my consoles plugged into the box (via various things on the way, like my SLG-in-a-box), and can even have my PAL and Region-Free Dreamcasts plugged into the same input via 2-into-1 RCA Y-splitters, so whichever one is switched on, the sound is automatically selected!

So yes, my Dreamcast gaming is just fine thanks! :)

I just ordered Sturmwind, because it looks incredible. Anyone ordered direct from Redspotgames before? I hope it comes soon :D

Hehe- you're joking, of course, right?

Uh, if not, my own experience is that:
1) Sturmwind is indeed pretty awesome. Can't speak from a hardcore shmupper's perspective, but i think it's a very decent game that scratches that shmup itch, and has explosions.

2) I know others on these forums had really bad experiences with Redspot games, regarding poor communications, shipments taking ages to arrive etc., as well as the infamous delays in Sturmwind's production. My own experience was that i ordered the limited edition about a year prior to actual release, and got it within a few weeks of the release date (i think, memory is a bit hazy). No communications were received from Redspot during the wait for delivery, though, and i was just left hanging, hoping i could trust them.

Yep, I figured this was probably what they are like. But it seemed worth it, considering the cheapest I can find it elsewhere is almost double the price of what Redspot are selling it for.

Plus it can't be any worse than the wait and lack of communication I had from OUYA

LOVE Zero Gunner. You pretty much summed up the difficulty. I fair pretty well in Arcade mode. Hokum ftw! :)

I was one of the people who had no issue with Red Spot. My wife ordered me a copy of Sturmwind for my bday. It showed up immediately. I was happy.

Anyway, Sturmwind is really really impressive.

And I also agree that the Agetec is a fantastic stick.

Agetecs look sweet and play sweet. I thought I was a big shot for amassing a dozen of them, and then I saw that Mike had about 28. Great little stick.

I could have added Sturmwind and Fast Striker 1.5 to that shot, but they weren't new to me... ;)

I ordered Sturmwind from PlayAsia and got it very reasonably brand new. Much less than advertised elsewhere, even on ebay. Great game too.

Hokum is indeed fab! And the stick lives up to all my expectations. Everybody loves the Agetec...

I have a Topmax joystick for my Dreamcast. The stick isn't awesome or anything, but it seems OK. If I wanted to upgrade the parts, is this something that's possible with the Topmax model?
