In addition you should also burn discs as slowly as possible, preferably 4x or slower. You can have the best CD-Rs available but if you burn PCE CD/TG-CD games at 16x it won't mean anything.

That's not always an option, unfortunately, with modern burners.

Holy shit they got Keith Courage himself to refurbish TurboGrafx systems??

He's CLEARLY got the experience with the system, right?

(Guy's actually one of the most active modders on there from what I've been able to tell... good work, cheap, friendly. A little weird to see his Fred Durst avatar attached to the name Keith Courage though)

Question about two specific games for PC Engine:

Anyone know if the text for Neutopia 1 & 2 for PC Engine is English or in Japanese?

I've noticed that Neutopia for TG16 has jumped CONSIDERABLY in the past few months and was already wanting to pick up
a PC Engine console, and if Neutopia for PC Engine is in fact in English, it'd save me quite a bit. Anyone know?

The first one is definitely in Japanese. I imagine II is as well.

thanks Hobie. I had a feeling. I did some searching before I posted and came across the same site you provided the link to, and wasn't sure on the language as I thought I had read a snippet that said that only in game clues were in Japanese, but the rest of the game was in English, which really didn't make much sense, so I figured, who better to ask that my fellow racketeers. Thanks for the help. It seems I may have to save up for the TG16 version and fore go the PC Engine version.

Yeah I'm in the same boat. I can read enough Japanese (probably...) to play the PC Engine versions, but I'd rather have them in English.

There are currently two high-quality flash cards on the market for the TG-16 / PCE. On the high end there's a Turbo EverDrive by Krizz, and on the low end there's a basic one-at-a-time flash card. I have the latter and it's great. Doesn't stop me from picking up the real things when I can, though.

Krikzz's one (the Turbo Everdrive) is golden, I love it. I have basically all his EDs and they're all great (obviously I don't have BOTH the Genesis ones, nor do I have the SNES one since I have SD2SNES...)

But, like you, that doesn't stop me from collecting as many legit carts/cards as I can get my hands on.
