I thought the Neo Geo X played AES games.BoneSnapDeez wrote:I've been toying with the idea of going for a complete Neo Geo X game library. Only seven games.

Re: Games Acquired 2013
lol no.... you may be thinking of the fact that most (all?) Neo Geo X games are ports of MVS/AES titles.
But an AES cart is larger than a Neo Geo X system.

Re: Games Acquired 2013
Well, collecting "all" the (official) Neo Geo X games could amount to buying the full console bundle with Ninja Masters (and the built in games), and the Mega Pack 1 right? Unless you're thinking of all the smaller game bundles in addition to that, despite that they're technically duplicates.

Re: Games Acquired 2013
You're technically correct. Built-in games + Ninja Master's + Mega Pack will give you all of them.
But if you physically want them all you'll also need Neo Geo X Classics volumes 1 through 5.

Re: Games Acquired 2013
The 16 games on SNK ARCADE CLASSICS VOL 1 are just as good if not better than the 20 games on X.
A Neo Geo that would play AES carts for under $200usd...

I could have sworn. So I went and looked it up. I'm thinking of the CMVS.BoneSnapDeez wrote:lol no.... you may be thinking of the fact that most (all?) Neo Geo X games are ports of MVS/AES titles.

Well a CMVS plays MVS games - not AES.

Close enough. All I know is it's an overpriced Neo Geo system that I'd want, but will probably never get. And I remember seeing that strange wood outside when it was announced.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Well a CMVS plays MVS games - not AES.

Re: Games Acquired 2013
Keep in mind that's just one variant of the CMVS. A CMVS is a DIY type product, not an official SNK product. So there's no one "official" CMVS.
There are others that look like this:

And of course there are converters that allow you to play MVS games on an AES system.
