I finished it on the PC many years ago and I don't remember the controls being awkward...BoneSnapDeez wrote:Well, that's just Bobinator's opinion, man.![]()
The extra stages are nice and all, but still don't make it a "better" port for me - in the same way the extra dungeons in the GBA port of FFVI don't make that version of the game superior.
That said, every console version of Lost Vikings is good. The only ports I would advise people to avoid are PC and Amiga (mainly due to awkward control schemes - though I suppose you could use Joy2Key) - a bit of a moot point, as I doubt anyone here would be inclined to play those versions anyway.

Can't wait for april, I just bought a CMVS and this is a perfect excuse for me to buy Shock Troopers. Whats a fair price for the cart?

I have a demo for the PC included with an Interplay compilation I got some years ago. I found it tough to play with the default controls. Certainly a game I would use Joy2Key for.

Dammit, just remembered AI intended to nominate a Guilty Gear game for this.
One to remember alongside Oddworld for 2015 I guess

I know that feeling. I'll have to re-cycle nearly all my nominations again next year tooalienjesus wrote:Dammit, just remembered AI intended to nominate a Guilty Gear game for this.

Looks like a good list overall though. Glad to see Metal Gear and I Have No Mouth made the final cut.

I'm sure this has been rehashed somewhere in this 50 page thread, but why? Even if you don't like the game, it is a landmark title that deserves to be experienced and discussed. You could even consider a Together Retro feature on Deus Ex as an opportunity to educate people about its failings.
If there's so much opposition to Deus Ex, would another Warren Spector first person RPG be preferable? System Shock? Ultima Underworld? Ultima Underworld would be a great choice since it beat Wolf 3D to the market with a fully 3D game engine.
I wish PSO was December this year and not January the next. I have 2 weeks off over the holidays with nothing to do, and I'm moving in January. I'll try to participate though. Not many chances to play this multiplayer anymore.

Because of how much you argue over it.
Also, expet changes to how we handle nominations to TR next year.

I'd choose System Shock over Deus Ex, personally.
